Fernanda Serrano says goodbye to her son: "My heart is heavy"

Being a "mother hen", as she herself referred to in a post on her Instagram page this Sunday, August 17, Fernanda Serrano could not contain her emotion when saying goodbye to her eldest son, Santiago, 19 years old, who left for a season in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he will do a school exchange.

The moment of farewell was shared by the actress on social media, who took the opportunity to dedicate a heartfelt message to the young man, who is preparing to experience one of the greatest adventures of his life.

"Many years ago, I did the same. Not in this context. My mother was 19 when I went in search of dreams! I've built a world since then! You inherited the smile, the taste for adventure, the determination and courage of that person who loves you so much and sees you leave the nest in search of what will be an experience full of dreams, smiles and uncertainties. I'll always be here!" he begins by saying.

"On this side! We had family dinner before the adventure, and goodbye kisses and hugs from a very hen mother, for what will be your great adventure in the coming months!" , he highlighted.

"My heart is heavy, but the confidence and determination that I also recognize in you will make you more grown up, more adult, stronger and happier! Now I feel our nest is a little emptier, but I know it's part of this beautiful process of growth for both of us! Rio is already more beautiful with you there! Enjoy it a lot, my great love!" he said finally.

Fernanda Serrano remains single

Santiago, like his three younger siblings, Laura, 17, Maria Luísa, 15, and Caetana, nine, were born from the ended marriage of Fernanda Serrano and Pedro Miguel Ramos.

Speaking to reporters last February, the artist confirmed that she remains single. "These things aren't sought after—they either appear, or it's better to let them be. I'm committed to spending quality time for myself, something I perhaps neglected for a long time. I never wanted to leave or delegate my role to others, the most important in my life and the one I attribute the greatest responsibility to: being a mother. I've always been very, very present. Now that they're increasingly independent, I'm starting to have a little more time for myself. I'm going to enjoy it because I deserve it," she said.
